The Redline (no affiliation) smog-legal Weber kit, K8747, comes with a one-piece adapter. I don't understand why they don't use this adapter for all their 20R kits. I think you can buy it separately.

This is on a 1988 2wd single cab pick up. No power steering or ABS.
So first things you will need:
-Double flare kit
-Drill and bits
-Welder (with minor welding skillz)
-8x4in steel plate can be 1/8"<1/4" thick.
Adopted this 81 pickup from my auntie who had it on her desert homestead. She's never seen salt (The pickup, not the auntie). Took it back east. Want to change out the glow plugs because of hard cold weather starting and too much smoke on startup. 240k, with questionable rebuild by previous owner at 200k. Is it best to stay with OEM or is there a better aftermarket...
I am aware of the massive debate on how removing the EGR can cause pinging and what not. Theres just as many that say it doesn't that say it does. I have not experienced this phenomenon, and I run 87 octane.
