Ive tried all combinations I can think of between the 22r mounts and the 18r mounts.  Ive tired the 18r brackets on the 22r mounts.  Ive tried one 18R and one 22R bracket.  The darn thing just wont line up.  Its like the brackets make the mounts sit too far out.  I tried solid mounting it ( brackets with no mounts ) and it almost fit, was 3/8th of an...<br />

When the timing is set at 8 degrees the distributor is adjusted Into the distributor lock down bolt as far as it will go (up) and runs like crap. Loosen the locking bolt and spin distributor about halfway through the adjustable part and it smooths out. Any thoughts on this? Run it timed that fast? Is it just some motors? Do I need to move the distributor wires over one spot?<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Hello again.  The previous owner desmogged my 74 chinook (hilux) with an 18rc but left the charcoal canister.  Things are a bit fumey in my cab so I&#039;m thinking this charcoal canister is not functioning properly or is routed incorrectly.  The valve mechanism that all the vacuum lines is still there but only the line to the charcoal canister and the intake remain.  The rest are plugged.  The valve module seems like it has a long going on and I don&#039;t really understand how it functions frankly....<br />

My primary Idle jet is a 45, secondary is a 50.  My mixture screw has to go out about 4 turns in order to stay running.
