      <content:encoded><![CDATA[My winter work as completed, updated the stereo head unit, reworked some dash wires, changed the air compressors wires &amp; changed from inline fuses to breakers. <br />
Got all back together the night before my right hand surgery . Had to move the truck out for a 2nd time as forgot to get the ice machine needed for my hand &amp; in the rush I damaged the drivers door badly, sprung it!<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[So my winter work this year is changing out the stereo head unit, my old unit is 10 years old,&amp; at the same time cleaning up some wiring.<br />
Also running new compressor wires has when I changed from Viair 385 compressors I didn&#039;t  up grade the wiring. And I am changing from fuses to the relays to breakers so can just pus a button to turn off the compressor when needed!<br />
 Hope to get this work done before Dec, has having sugary on my right hand , &amp; will be in a cast for a few weeks.]]></content:encoded>

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[This winter work is  installing a new Kenwood head unit, my old one was 10 years old. Repairing a air leak, adding 2 compress shut off switches , ( can be turned off though the air controller but this will be faster &amp; easier)!<br />
Want to take the front bumper off for some small repair work but probably won&#039;t be able to get to it ,has sugary on my right hand in Dec, hand will be in a cast for a short time . <br />

 So at the last couple of show days my truck was hard to start or didn&#039;t  !<br />
Then hard to jump. mine you I RUN  a Odyssey PC34/78  PC1500 battery.<br />
These are a military grade battery  with a 12 year self life &amp; a 4 year replacement warranty.<br />
Got home &amp; checked my log book,, the first one was bought in 2009, was replace after a alternator failure, &amp; the 2nd was  2014. The first was used has a back up . 15 &amp; 10 years old, 10 years is the life cycle, so then with both...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[So on my road trip to Relaxin&#039; On The River,  while at a gas station , truck at ride height of 4.5&#039;&#039;, we went over a in ground tank fill plate, the train horns hit it even though up inside of the frame rails. Resulting in the air tanks losing all air. I have a in line shut off lever so just did that. How at home I removed the horns &amp; found that one of the unions that is between each horn &amp; the manifold is damage beyond repair, new horns on the way. <br />

Got started today,first up change out a damaged power steering hose, had the new one made a few weeks ago.<br />
At the same time replace the front Willwood brake rotors &amp; brake pads , &amp; change out the shocks ( 14 years ), going to QA1&#039;s front &amp; rear.<br />
Repair &amp; paint work will happen @ the front bumper, ( drag that shit on driveways every once in a while !<br />
And some body paint repair work.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[So my air tanks drop pressure after the truck sits for a while so I once again used Cal Blue to check all air lines &amp; fittings . Found a leak at the air feed to the manifold,replaced the line &amp; all is good.<br />
At the same time I had the truck aired all the way up &amp; sitting  noticed the rear drivers side would drop, so I pulled that bag &amp; tested in a bucket of water, &amp; found it to have a leak. These have been on my truck for 16 years, &amp; like tires should be changed out at 7 years !<br />

I have  this idle problem for some time where if you hold the rpms at 2,000 after the engine is at running temp.it will drop &amp; than go back repeatably. On a long road trip that will happen from 1,000 rpm .<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[So I damaged the rear section at the roll pan, drove off the ramps without seeing the rear was down. <br />
So repair work is in motion before another show year. So after welding the corner back up nice &amp; strong<br />
I cut a piece of 1&#039;x1&#039; &amp; welded caps &amp; both ends than drilled 4 holes &amp; plug welded the piece behind the lower part of the roll pan to give more strength. I will seam seal the piece completly in from the rear<br />
Next start the body work &amp; than repaint <br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[So on the road trip to &amp; from Vegas a few items popped up, first was one of the LED eye brows quite working, a broken connector, the heater air tube from the center to the left side came lose &amp; dropped down, &amp; a problem with the alarm!<br />
And my train horn sounds like a choked duck!<br />

Wire soldered as needed,  air tube repaired with fiber glass &amp; new Excalibur alarm going in with link to my phone. <br />
Working on finding a train horn replacement!<br />
