BTW, Energy Suspension&#039;s leaf bushings from newer trucks fix the N10 Hilux just right.  <br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Running into some problems, I have everything I need from a &#039;76 to swap over on my &#039;72, all the brake components are bolted up, have all the brake lines in place, but having trouble with booster and master. &#039;76 master won&#039;t bolt up to &#039;72 booster because bolt pattern was changed. The booster from the &#039;76 is about twice as large as the stock one, so unless I move the slave cylinder a few inches, it&#039;s not going to fit, which I am trying not to do if needed. I’m looking to replace both the upper and lower ball joints, but I’m having problems finding the right upper ball joints that has the larger shank and the same stout bolt pattern. for the lower ball I believe I just need the 1980 one and I have to drill out the holes on the stout a little bit. my 1974 steering gear is getting a little bit sloppy.  If there were a decent replacement available, I’d happily whack a new one in there, but it’s not a common part to find intact.  Has anyone out there tried to rebuild one, or found a specialist to do it?  <br />

We picked up a cool 75&#039; Toyota Hilux awhile back and thoroughly love the thing, even w the dinky original motor.<br />

Only problem is, the front left wheel pulls really hard to the left when going over a decent bump or dip. Also the tire bottoms out and rubs up in the wheel well.<br />

I took it and had an alignment done at Big O that helped somewhat, but not nearly enough. When I mentioned to their guy that it was still super squirly feeling, he just said &quot;Well, it ain&#039;t a Cadillac!&quot;. ha...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Just about to install the new shocks for the front suspension. Can anyone verify the order of the washers, and bushings?<br />

I&#039;m assuming there is a washer/bushing that goes on the shock itself before inserting it onto the frame. With the remaining parts I would sandwich the bushing in between the washers. Just curious which washer I use, and if I need two up top?<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[So I&#039;m looking at the Haynes repair manual and its saying that the steering components are all the same up until 1978. Can any confirm this? Have you ordered the 2nd gen steering parts and fit them ok on the 1st gen?<br />

My concern is when I get on rack auto to look at the parts they have them listed by year and the parts are not the same. <br />
<br />
I&#039;ve actual ordered a 76 pitman arm and it seemed to be longer an bulkier that the one pulled off (no idea if it was orginal)<br />

The disk came from a later model (75-78 I belive) hilux.  Some sites say that it is a direct swap and others say that the lower ball joint need to match the year of the disc.  Well the stock one is too small(wiggles in the lower mounting hole)  and the ball joint that match the year of the disk works in the mounting hole of the...<br />
