does the weight of the supercharger and carb hanging off the side strip out the threads on the aluminum head over time?
first off, tryin to be subtle here read this, dont miss the whirly bit part http://www.toyotaminis.com/forum/showthread.php?t=429 now as to that persons build..... FAIL. no really. a side draft wont work like that, the G force from accel is gonna starve the carb out. its proven, even weber says dont change the orientation. if it would of worked, i would of done it. instead when that time comes im gonna use a IDF, which is better then a side draft DCOE, but a down draft. but more likely im going EFI with mega squirt and a TBI, but thats just couch fab for now. im not even gonna mention the throttle response that isnt gonna have... and from Camden superchargers, they make that unit. there is a hiem joint thing that goes from the SC to the eng mount to support it. doesnt need much but i wouldnt trust the wheight on the studs (40lbs ish) for a long period of time
some kid bought a white (with yellow stripes) reg toyota pickup and pulled off the blown supercharger and tried selling it to me. lol
how bad was the SC blown (lol pun) and how much did he want? i paid about $500 to get mine refurbished.
he wanted me to buy his truck for $500 (and this truck was in worse condition than most trucks on this forum).... is he trying to downgrade me?! lol Idk what he did with the SC. i wouldve taken it and seen whats wrong with it
